Thanks for your thoughts, gracie.

Thank heavens. Grateful you are o.k. Cars can be replaced. I am looking to beat you in cards and have some more kool drinks too again with both of you.

My wife and I both have camry's that have over 200k miles on them. Now that it is time for a new car, I have it narrowed down to the Honda Accord, the Hyundai Sonata, or another Toyota Camry. I am leaning towards the Sonata. Are there any Sonata owners out there? If so, how do you like them?

Bill - Sorry about you having to do your Civic duty on the deer population. So now you have a bonafied "snowmobile". Glad to hear that you and Sandy are OK. Look forward to seeing you and Sandy later in the month.

Yep, pretty much the same thing Sandy and I concluded - it can be replaced. I told her I'm just glad we weren't on a motorcycle at the time...........

We'll be down there this Thurs through Christmas!! Are you in TV or OH?

Gracie:

My 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager with only 61,500 miles on it must surely take some sort of prize? Oldest and Least Used Vehicle in TV?

I've always really loved this car. It is, of course, far bigger than I need, except when my brother calls for a "larger vehicle and a chauffeur" because we're going to Stumpknocker's or The Blackwater Inn for dinner!

I keep thinking maybe it's time to downsize (the Honda Fit intrigues me), but then I realize that I'd have to pay out some serious bucks every month! It's lots cheaper to use my golf cart as much as possible!

Default I love our little car...

I have a 2007 Chrysler Caliber. It is really a neat little car. It has a great ride and when I put the back seats down we have plenty of room for 100 lb German shepherd. We have driven it back to Michigan a couple time and we got 33 mpg (that is with the dog in the back seat). It is a very pretty blue. We love it! However, when we are in TV we drive our GEM and Golf cart so we just keep the Caliber in the garage.

A good friend of mine has a 2011 Sonata, bought last March I think. She loves it. I have been in it, it rides nice and is good looking. I would shop for price. We are fairly new Hyundai owners or should say our daughter is. New Santa Fe August 2010. So far so good. We have been Honda and Toyota owners for years. Oh and my first van was a Chrysler, Caravan. That was when my kids were young. Than moved up to a full size Chevy van with hightop. Many miles later downsized to a Highlander. I still miss the vans!

FWIW - If history holds true into the future, the Accord and Camry will hold their values better than the Sonata.

But who knows? Hyundai sure has come a long way over the years they've been here in the States.

I have a red Toyota Solara convertable which I love. It is a 2006 and rides like a luxury car complete with lumbar support. I love to put the top down and cruise around TV (priceless).

Forget my car, I love my EZGo Cart. Even today with the cold weather I zipped over to Fresh Market with the curtains down and just love the feeling of being outside but protected from the elements. Another thing, my cart is electric and quiet. I would not enjoy a noisy, smelly gas cart. I love to take my 10 min ride to Sumter Landing and check out the tourists and have a cup of coffee; with a cart parking is never an issue.
