When I was in my 20's, I so wanted a rose tattoo on my left breast. I never did it and am now glad because that cute little rose would now be a l...o...n...g...
stemmed rose!
However, am now considering a rose bracelet tat with a string of roses to my middle finger and a rose ring. At least at this age, I wouldn't have to worry about any ore sagging!

I think to each his/her own, in the wanting of a tatoo.

For me, I never had one and never will.

My son's grandmother took care of that situation by making it very clear she didn't want him to have log hair, (unkempt in her opinion), and defintely, No tatoo's.

So far, it has worked spendidly.

I always smile when a person puts a beloved's name on their arm, (other than Mom), and they wind up getting a divorce. Two very painful reminders.

I do not understand why anyone would want to get a tattoo. It is so permanent; even marriage is not that permanent.
and both my kids have tattoos, and multiple piercings. just do not understand it.
i suppose as long as they keep them covered up i won't have to look at it. and please don't come to the dinner table with a ring in your nose.

I have never had any desire whatsoever for a tatoo. The girl that used to cut my hair hair had a tatoo and she told me something that I have thought was just outstanding as far as why people should not get one. She said that a friend of hers asked her why she would put a bumper sticker on a Lamborhini? Pretty good analogy I think.

I once knew a girl that was so flat-chested, she had her chest tattooed with "In case of sex... this side up."

Does that same rule also apply to clothing?

A tattoo on a pretty woman is like a bumper sticker on a Lamborghini.

This thread has really given me a lot of laughs; thanks everyone. So many funny, clever TV people. In my family the only one to ever have a tattoo has been the greyhounds and I know they were sorry they had numbers in their ears and not MOM instead.
