Default If TV Wasn't Built

Many people have moved here and love it but how would your plans been altered, if TV was never built? What would your life be like?

I'll go first. I probably have moved closer to my son and granddaughter in Ft. Lauderdale, as a snowbird, spending half my time in the New York area and the winters in Florida. To me, the attractiveness of being with my old friends/family and avoiding the winter months would have been ideal.

The downside is that I could never afford two homes, so I would have to buy something less than what is built in TV, like a trailer park type home. GOD bless those than can afford two homes.

Being here full time is the greatest! IMHO

BTW - I shutter at the thought, if TV wasn't built, as this is paradise.

Would be in a resort community with one rec hall, one pool, probably only two tennis courts etc. but near the beach....this is MUCH MUCH better, so much, it's hard to go on vacation and find a better resort so it's now sight seeing and visiting the kids....more fulfilling!

Would still be in the S FL waterfront condo, hoping the jerks on the Board would approve repairs to the common elements.

Default Rather foolish...

and I have no idea. I rarely reflect on "what if's" as I find it a useless way to spend my time. Those who do sometimes are melancholy and have regrets...when not "doing" I spend time thinking about "what's next?".

I would still be living in Ohio. I never was interested in moving to Florida. Sweetie might have been very unhappy, because playing golf year 'round was top of his list. He probably wouldn't have whined or insisted.

I would have had to dream another dream. I don't want that.

We have friends that moved to The Villages in 2007. They just sold their house in TV so they can move closer to the beach.
I grew up beside the ocean and I miss it.
But we have roots here now, and Fireboy is in love with The Villages, especially the RC Flyers clubs.

That's an excellent question to ask villagers. I'm not sure what we would have done. I'll bet more than likely stayed in Taxachusetts!

We would still be living in Florida if TV didn't exist. It wouldn't be the same but likely another Adult community somewhere in Central FL.

We probably would have moved from the DC area to the Delaware coast. Instead we kept our Ocean City, MD condo to spend summers (June, July, and August) with our Maryland families after becoming residents here.
