I watched the 1st of the 2 parter on CBS last night. There were experts (profilers and ME's) who were weighing in on the evidence, videos from previous interviews and even having a proxy of the house to have a visual. They did some interviews of folks but also were blocked from some as people said "they didn't want to get involved". Allegedly, there had been a block on people back in the day to speak publically on this. I'd like to hear/see what these same folks would say (in observing) the Dr. Phil interview with the son. For sure, I'll be watching tonight's show. I somehow know a fore-gone conclusion won't be made BUT maybe if they keep this case going they eventually will find the person responsible!!

A thought--- Burke was downstairs having pineapple and sister came in and took a bite. He got mad and he hit her with the flash light and Patsy came down and found them. It took 20 minutes to just copy that note and it is believed that she wrote it. John & Patsy stated that they did not kill Jon Benet. Last night's show on ID heard some of the conversation after the 911 call which was questioning a young male. They said he was in bed but not if that was his voice that was recorded. This is just a thought.

As sad and tragic as this poor little girl losing her life was, I find the fascination and obsession with it...an indictment of our society as a whole.

And while I don't blame those that see it as an opportunity to make money from it (free enterprise and all that), I personally refuse to watch anything associated with it so many years later...just so someone can suck money from a prurient audience.

Default Always Thought the Brother Did It

The surviving son, Burke Ramsey has granted a public interview on Dr. Phil for the first time. His behavior is unusual at times in this interview and makes me think perhaps he has Aspergers Syndrome, a form of Autism.

I have seen now an interview with Patsy Ramsey where she is very angry for being asked if she is involved and says things like " I don't care a flip what you think" to the police.

The ransom note didn't and doesn't make sense to me.

Any thoughts to share?
I always thought the brother committed the murder -- accidentally. He probably got angry with her in the kitchen and hit her with the flashlight. Then, when the parents discovered what he had done, they devised a plan to protect him from prosecution so that they would not, also, lose him.

I agree. That's what I originally thought, too.

When they get a DNA match, they will have the killer. Brother was 9... would not be prosecuted, it would be an accident. Family DNA did NOT MATCH. POLICE SCREWED UP.

Default So sad for the Ramseys

I was Burke's fourth grade teacher in Boulder Colorado during that year. I can't imagine the hell that the whole family went through. If you had had the pleasure of meeting the Ramseys and knowing them, talking with them, being the recipient of their kindnesses and generosity, you would not believe the media and their quick judgement.

I agree, Burke at age 9 would of never been charged with murder, plus at that time the family had very deep pockets. So were to assume the family jumped straight into a phony kidnapping scheme to cover a skull fracture, a fracture that may not have even caused death since many attribute death to asphyxiation. Then they write an elaborate ransom letter, and stage a murder with the garrote and choke JonBenet to death. The parents did love JonBenet.

The flashlight found in the kitchen did not below to the Ramseys. The DNA on the underwear and the blanket has never been identified? The opened window, disturbed debris in the window well, the suitcase, someone entered through that window. The stun-gun marks, the stun-gun has never been found? The black duct tape over JonBenet's mouth, no matching roll has ever been found in the home.

If the window was staged by John Ramsey, wouldn't he had brought that up or pointed that out during the interrogations? He never did, it was the DA's detective Lou Smit who discovered the basement access.

Indictment of our society, what is that suppose to mean? People that like a good mystery must be sick? Let me throw out a few words, Perry Mason, Sherlock Holmes, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, Rubik cubes, labyrinths, magicians, get the point. People like to be intrigued, it's that simple, or you can just grow old and die.

I find it heartbreaking that not only did the Ramsays lose a beloved daughter to a brutal murderer,
but that they were portrayed in the Media as being responsible.

I got the feeling that Burke may have Apsbergers Syndrome from watching certain responses and behaviors as he was interviewed. That of course is not tied to violence in any way but it would explain his staying in bed.

IMHO, there are people interested in true life homicides, not because of prurient interest, but because they truly want to understand deviate and unnatural behavior.
