Default July 4th Parades/Fireworks

I guess the economy has effected municipalities, as I cannot find a parade or fireworks scheduled anywhere in this area.

Does anyone know of such an event?

I don't know of any community celebration. If you really want to see fireworks, you might search out a high point (Morse at Bonita Blvd comes to mind) from which you can scan the horizon.

A couple years ago I visited a property outside TV, a few miles east. At its highest elevation, we could look 360 degrees and saw at least a dozen displays! No noise, no crowds oooohing and aaaahing, but pretty colors all over!

Very little excitement, and undoubtedly less each year as municipalities find the $100,000 or so "inappropriate!"

Sad!
