In my opinion - he got what he deserved !
I agree. He lost all credibility when he took the law into his own hands. But, given the size of the LAPD there will probably still be bad apples. They seemed to encourage the bad apples to infect the rest of the barrel before their reforms.

This is a good article about Dorner and the manhunt of him. http://www.officer.com/news/10879480...a-cops-capture

Unfortunately in ANY group there will always be a small percentage of bad apples.

This applies anywhere. I guess that's just life.

I don't think anyone on this thread is saying Dorner had a right to do what he did. Everyone has agreed his actions were totally unacceptable and horrific for some so he had to be taken down. I think what is getting confused is there are those who think what he said about the LAPD had merit and the irate posters are interpreting that as support for him and his actions. Everyone agrees he should not have done what he did no matter what happened with the LAPD. That said, people should not be afraid of the underlying story or angry with those who are looking at the story behind the story.

They did say that they would look into the back story. Not sure how hard they will look though. Something sounds a bit strange with the father and son's statements about Teresa Evans alleged assault on the schizophrenic son.

In a legal clinic at the U of MN back around 1988, I tried to help an inmate who claimed he had been assaulted by the Minneapolis PD but he could not remember the exact date and time and the police department would not hand over the records of this inmate's stay without a specific date and time. The police do play games with lawyers and the media is all I am trying to say.
