I know this isn't the correct forum. I posted in the wanted section but noticed nobody really reads them so I hope it's ok to ask here.
I'm looking for a day bed with popup trundle. Please pm or post if you have one.Evidently they don't sell them with the popup anymore. I've been looking for months at estate sales and 2nd hand stores.

Could be mistaken, but seems like I recently saw them offered on Wayfair on line. I was surprised to find that I've had very good results ordering from them ! Once did receive a damaged piece of furniture, no hassle, no arguments, they sent another piece immediately, so you might want to check on the internet ? Also, amazon does sell the pop up frames which will fit most trundles; down side was price is over $200 !

I think this fits the bill. We have one. HEMNES Daybed frame with 3 drawers, white, Twin - IKEA

It is two twins. The frames nest together as a day bed with the mattress stacking. Separated you still get adequate frame support for two twins. The drawers are real and hold quite a bit.

The mattress can be purchased from Amazon. A quality 6" mattress works great. My 95 yo mother in law stays with us and has no complaints. Believe me if it wasn't perfect I would be have heard about it. Other times my daughter/SIL have used this, again no complaints.

Like any Ikea furniture, assembly required. Lots of screws, patience required. Cordless assembly tools are very helpful.

This set up (above) does not offer the flexibility that a pop up trundle bed offers. I've got one of the pop up kind that is over 30 years old and it looks and functions like it is brand new. The flexibility in this pop up kind is that the beds can be separated. I put them in an "L" shape in the room which gives an open area in the middle of the room and allows the occupants to be separate in the beds. The pop up trundle can also be placed right beside the stationary bed to form a queen size bed.
