Default Consumer Cellular

My apologies if this should be in a different folder, but I couldn't find anything that looked appropriate. We are considering dropping our Verizon cell service and moving to Consumer Cellular, the one that AARP pushes. I've done some research, and it is certainly cheaper and more flexible, but I don't know how good the service is.

Do any of you use Consumer Cellular or have any stories, good or bad, about their product? I would appreciate any feedback you can give me.

If we do this we want to make sure it works if and when we can move to TV.

Thanks,

Dave

I used to have consumer cellular. It worked great but for $10.00 a month plus minute usage and taxes I found a much better deal. I swithed to PuretalkUsa and get 130 minutes for $10.00 a month and that includes all taxes. They also have flexible plans and unlimited talk and text plans. All unused minutes rollover and never expire. They also have family plans.Coverage has been great here in the villages and all over. Check it out on the web. If you decide to go with them let me know and I'll give you my number as a referral. Customers get 202 bonus minutes for referrals.
Don't use phone much so this is perfect for us.

Over three years with consumer cellular. Two phones, one account, no contract. Service is great everywhere, (not so much in Maine and northern NH). I use 5 minutes, she uses the rest. No problems and they are great to work with.

I have been using Consumer Cellular for several years, both in New York where I lived before and here in The Villages. I am completely satisfied with it, no complaints, have used it everywhere from Maine to California.

Wife and I have been using Consumer Cellular for two years now with no problems. Bill was 109.00 with Verizon now 43.39 with Consumer. What I like is that you can change your plan at anytime during the month.

Default Just switched

to Consumer Cellular from ATT. ATT customer service is pitiful (management issues not the people who answer the phone). Cost for Consumer Cellular is 46% of what ATT was charging for same services. I'll let you know how C.C. performs.

We've been using Consumer Cellular for several years. Great coverage here in TV, even up here in Briar Meadow. I especially appreciate their customer service. We have also liked the fact that we can change our service level at any time, retroactively in the billing period. Would definitely recommend them. Now T-Mobile is another story......
