I like detective shows and such, but I am open to any type of series if it's interesting enough. To give you a clue to my tastes, in the past I've liked Monk, The Mentalist, some NCIS (the original is all I've seen), sitcoms and various other types of shows. I rarely get hooked on pure drama. Monk and The Mentalist which I mentioned above had something in common...very good detective plots with really fun main characters and a humorous slant in every episode.

Okay, I'm open to suggestions. Again, I will consider any show if it's good.
Harrow on HULU was excellent, 5-6 seasons. It's the type of show you don't want to stop watching.

Default Agree on Ted Lasso and Kominski Method

Agree on Ted Lasso. It was hilarious! Only issue is it is on Apple TV, which we had free for a while. We may get it again long enough to see season two once it is released.

We are also enjoying the Kominski Method which some people mentioned. In the past we enjoyed Ozark, Breaking Bad, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Queen's Gambit. Life in Pieces is funny in an interesting format (four shorts about the same family per episode) with good writing.

Default Series

We are watching The Ranch on Netflix. Sam Elliott, Ashton Kutcher, Debra Winger. Funny. A lot of
F-bombs, but don't they all? We also watched Virgin River.

I haven't seen it mentioned but if you liked Monk then you'll love Psych. Light-hearted detective fare. Also, for drama, Longmire is a good choice. And both series' have ends. They weren't just canceled.

I've been binge watching Blue Bloods (up to season 4 right now)
any Star Trek series or StarGate SG1 (yeah, I'm a geek)
NCIS New Orleans
Blacklist

Supernatural (early seasons really good, final seasons a little out there)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel
Breaking Bad (Hubby loved it, me not so much)

Hubby likes Decades Channel, lots of Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Newhart series
I like GET TV, yesterday watched 4 Walker Texas Ranger episodes.

Default Acorn

We like British mysteries like Midsomer Murders and Vera and many others on a service called Acorn. They also have a New Zealand series called Brokenwood Mysteries that is currently my favorite. There are too many mysteries to list here; check it out at Stream British Mystery Series on Acorn TV

Oh yeah, I agree. Loved Grimm.....kind of a cop/science fiction/fantasy/comedy/monster series. Based on the idea that the creatures described in the "Grimm's Fairy Tales" books actually exist. 6 seasons, 123 episodes. It could get a bit 'out there' in some episodes, but in general it was very entertaining.

I second "The Closer." It's LAPD detectives. Always a bit of a twist in there, oftentimes humorous (the Bridezilla episode, for one, Santa for another).

Have you watched House?

Also a really good one was Leverage Leverage (TV Series 2008–2012) - IMDb These guys run around righting wrongs à la Robin Hood style. (They're sort of crooks--anti-hero style.)

Default Crime dramas

If you are looking for interesting crime dramas, then a couple from the past which are good to binge watch, would be Justified and Dexter. Justified is kind of like the old West gunslinger reimagined for modern times. Dexter is a bit twisty, where a serial killer who only kills other serial killers works as a CSI for the Miami PD.

Good luck, there are a lot of good shows out there, but there is also a lot of crap to filter through.
