Heartland on Netflix and Peacock network.

Life on a horse ranch in Alberta.

Shocked we like it but now our favorite show and over 200 episodes.

but no one has mentioned Peaky Blinders on Netflix. Gritty, violent and entertaining on a certain level. Binge watching worthy for sure.

Aw, c’mon, Bogie. This thread is a good one. This morning, I learned here that Dexter is coming back. I never thought I would watch Dexter but then I did. Who knew I would be rooting for a serial killer. But then I did.

Yesterday, I learned about Mr In Between so we tried a few last night. Mr. Boomer likes it. I don’t like it much. But I like the writing style — kind of Coen-like.

Even though we are back to a social life, the past year-plus got us into the habit of watching television more than usual in the evenings, and I have found some good ideas in this thread.

This thread is not about dog poop or roundabouts or anything to do with the mess our country is in. Nobody is arguing about anything. Nobody is obsessed with spreading their “research.”

Anyway, in defense of this good thread, I have to tell you, “Bogie, behave yourself.” Maybe give us a suggestion for a show or maybe watch Ted Lasso sometime.

Boomer

Who could have ever imagined that the definition of ‘research’ could be co-opted, too. Now, that’s Orwellian.)

I didn’t intend ruffle any feathers……sorry you took it as criticism of the thread.

Aw, Bogie, I love it when you ruffle feathers. You’re good at it. It’s OK. I rarely can write a one-liner, but I can admire them. I was just giving you a little rufflin’ back.

Besides, I do not get my feathers ruffled that easily. I am just drinking coffee and picking on you — just a little— this morning. You gotta be Bogie and I gotta be Boomer. We both have been in this silly play for too long to revise these alter-egos.

But now I have to go to my book club, with people I can actually see. I guess I’d better hurry up and finish the book instead of messing around on TOTV.

PS: I edited my quote and toned it down a little but that was after you quoted me. I really need to stop editing after I hit submit.

And having a number of seasons "in the can" would be very nice too...

I like detective shows and such, but I am open to any type of series if it's interesting enough. To give you a clue to my tastes, in the past I've liked Monk, The Mentalist, some NCIS (the original is all I've seen), sitcoms and various other types of shows. I rarely get hooked on pure drama. Monk and The Mentalist which I mentioned above had something in common...very good detective plots with really fun main characters and a humorous slant in every episode.

Okay, I'm open to suggestions. Again, I will consider any show if it's good.

I made it through Season 1 of Bosch, even though it was damned creepy. I had to make sure the serial killer got what was coming to him.

I do like the character Bosch, although I doubt that I will ever read the books.

Now we are on the one about the body in the trunk of that beautiful car.

All of his books are terrific.

I didn’t end all posts so this may have been recommended. Grantchester on PBS. Love it.
