Default Lunar Eclipse

Did anybody get to see it? Chat Pack Jammie Ladies ~ Did y'all peak outside? At 10 p.m. the moon was magnificently orange, at 11:30 pm. it was a stunningly bright white (no man in the moon faces this time). Only 1/2 was bright, the upper half was blocked out. Pretty impressive sight. We had clouds in and then quickly out of NJ today so we were able to see it.

Saw some of it around 9:45 pm through 10:10 pm. Beautiful views. Only saw one other person looking at the moon in my neighborhood at 9:45 pm.

Tal:
Would not have missed it. Got home from the Jammie Party in time to watch it beginning to end. At first it was slightly shrouded by clouds and then it cleared and I had a wonderfully clear view.
Like you I was the only one out in the neighborhood watching!!!!

Was taping some of American Idol though while I was out and about the neighborhood. Have to see the AI women perform.

It was spectacular here in the northeast. Clear, albeit cold, night. Perfectly orange moon at 10:32.

Up here in NY there was a perfectly clear sky so we got to see it change to Orange and back. It was quite a sight. Predictions say that we will have another one in 2010. :2cool:

:dontknow:

We didn't get to see it since the storms were moving thru again and cloud cover was too heavy. The night before was absolutely clear, too bad it wasn't then.

I went out at 10 minute intervals and saw the entire eclipse. Very clear in TV. You could see the star Regulus and Saturn off to the left. I decided to put my telescope together so I could get a better view but that was not to be. Time constraint.

So I just stood outside and looked.

Out on left coast we had a clear view.

We called my daughter in Orange City, Fla and were both watching it at the same time. She was saying it appeared orange but all we saw was a steel gray covering.
