Not sure how many readers have heard about the latest in technology advancements, but ChatGPT 4 is the latest excitement. .
If you want it to write jokes, it can, if you ask it to write an essay on a topic, it can, if you ask it to write computer code, it can. If you ask it to answer a question, it can and being on version 4 and some people are like "get rid of my admin already", by version 8 it might be able to write a screen play or movie. What Is ChatGPT Doing … and Why Does It Work?—Stephen Wolfram Writings is a pretty easy to read explanation. . Last edited by CoachKandSportsguy; 05-20-2023 at 06:57 AM. Did you edit your comment because ChatGPT made mistakes in creating your post?

Wow! that's impressive, now how many english class students will use the shortcut and not learn how to write creatively themselves?

Code generators are nothing new. I used them over 40 years ago in enterprises. Remember Dyl260/dyl280? How about Knowledgeware’s ADW code generator? There were others too. The code that all of these generators generated were bloated and inefficient. Thousands of more lines of code than what was needed. Probably the same today.
AI is not new. Just like virtual machines was not new when VMware came out, I used real VM’s on the mainframe decades earlier called vm/cms |

What is new is the magnitude of the training data, and huge improvements in computer processing power and storage. |

And when people can no longer think for themselves....wait, pretty sure that is happening already.

Interesting article, kind of lengthy & too much to digest all at once. The author should consider presenting it in progressive segments on a Youtube channel.
I get how AI can write something original, but my question is how will AI obliterate humanity? |

Thanks...but no thanks. I was intrigued by the idea of learning more about Chat..but this is too much & too detailed for me. Read about .10 of the link, judging by my scroll bar, & realized nothing more was sinking in. It's a fascinating read, at least the first .10 of it. Thanks for the info!

Approach with caution: Reduce your speed as you approach the roundabout and be prepared to yield to any vehicles already in the roundabout.
Yield to traffic on the left: When entering the roundabout, yield to any vehicles coming from your left. They have the right of way. Choose the correct lane: If the roundabout has multiple lanes, choose the appropriate lane based on your intended exit. Signs and pavement markings will indicate which lane to take for each exit. Use your turn signals: Indicate your intentions by using your turn signals. Signal right when you approach your exit, letting other drivers know that you are planning to exit the roundabout. Maintain a consistent speed: Once you enter the roundabout, maintain a slow and steady speed. Avoid stopping unless necessary, as it can disrupt the flow of traffic. Keep to the right: Stay in the right lane within the roundabout unless you need to use the left lane for a specific exit or if it's a multi-lane roundabout. Watch for pedestrians and cyclists: Be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists crossing the roundabout. Yield to them and give them the right of way. Exit the roundabout: As you approach your desired exit, signal right, check for any pedestrians or cyclists, and safely exit the roundabout. Remember, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the specific roundabouts in The Villages and follow any local traffic rules or guidelines provided by the local authorities. |
