Default MY First Time...

Well I thought that title might get some attention....

But in all honesty this was the very first time I was away from my mothers for Thanksgiving (almost a sin in our family). So with respect, I gathered her recipes and tried to duplicate her Thanksgiving Feast....

While I have many years of practice ahead of me....with the help of some wonderful friends I was able to celebrate here in FL!!

What a wonderful, wonderful evening it was! GREAT company! Much laughter! I am so glad to have been able to celebrate with such fantastic people! Check out the pictures with the link below!! What a GREAT time!! I am SO VERY THANKFUL!!

Sorry I missed the party but I had one of my own here. This was
MY FIRST TIME,,,, cooking Thanksgiving dinner with the computer on the kitchen counter watching everything happening on TOTV... Was really scared that I was gonna ruin a recipe, but everything turned out delicious... But late as usual..

Cassie,

I am so happy your Thanksgiving turned out to be such a huge success! The genuine smiles on everyones faces really warmed my heart.

That was so kind of you to gather good friends together for the Holiday , makes me miss TV so much!

Default Our first Thanksgiving in Hadley.

We had our first Thanksgiving here with just family, the only one missing was grandson Colin, who was in Hawaii with his high school band!!

Everything turned out without a hitch, but we had fewer sides. (not the usual 12). I found I was missing a platter and a good slicing knife. The potted flower given to me by Karen for my birthday was our centerpiece, and the not as good as the best set of crystal made it with no breakage and looked OK with the IKEA china. The feast was very good indeed. Our Poinciana friends, their kids and grandkids came for dessert. What fun!

I miss YOU NOnie. You have the kindest heart!

Next year, now that I have my Florida bearings, I hope to enlarge my guest list. I know that Karen and John have already accepted!

I LOVE cooking the Thanksgiving meal. This was my smallest turkey in married history...only nine pounds. We bundled up the leftovers, put them in an ice chest, took them with us and they arrived in West Chester last night after 14.5 hours on the road. Gretchen took possession.

I love Thanksgiving dinner the next time around.
