Default Need a Speaker for your meetings?

I am a board member and head speaker for Forward Paths Foundation. We are 501-C3 non profit providing housing, education, and employment for teenagers who age out of foster care at age 18. We recently built 10 tiny homes (2 bedrooms each), and they house 20 of our kids, but we now have 41 kids. We house the rest in apartments/houses that we rent. I would love to explain how all this gets done. Forward Paths Foundation

Don't have a need for a speaker for any clubs we belong to right now, but, a very good cause. Don't think most realize what a tragedy it is when these teens are released from "the system" with no support or ability to go on to college or trade school, no idea how to save enough money to find shelter for themselves, etc. Seems (??) a LOT MORE could be done in this area WHILE the state has jurisdiction over these young people.... perhaps bureaucracy just impedes rather than prepares ? But anyway, you are doing MUCH need work !

The state has control over the vetting of foster parents. The state has control over the funding (or lack thereof) for foster care resources, including checking in on the kids to make sure they're being educated and prepared for life after high school. It's pretty sad that these kids have to rely on charities to get them through this transition period, but it's a WONDERFUL thing that these charities exist.

Thank you. I could tell you some horror stories of what some of these youth have been through at such a young age. We receive zero federal or state funding, our money comes from grants and donations. My goal is to make folks in The Villages be aware of this organization when it comes to their donated dollar and also we need volunteers. All of our volunteers are in their 70's.
