Default You helped me

You, in posting your pending and then actual loss, have helped more people than you know. God Bless you and yours, and may Q have sweet sailing.

If only I could send to you something that would help, if only any of us could say or do anything to help you right now.

Just know that we all understand and care.

Ed... What a heartbreaking story. My thoughts are with you, Quentin, and the rest of his family. There is some solace in knowing that he will live on for many years through the life he has given to others in need. He sounds like a wonderful young man.

I woke this morning, still heavy sorry on my heart but I realized that even though our prayers for Quentin weren't answered the way we wished, even though the miracle we were praying for didn't occur, other miracles will begin to happen. Other families, mothers, fathers, brothers and sister have been praying for a miracle for their loved ones to be saved. Because of Quentin's families selflessness in letting Quentin be an organ donor, others who were lost will be saved. I will never forget Quentin.. he will live in our hearts and memories for all time.

Kindest Regards- Sandy Noll
This wonderful post is from the mother of one of Q's good friends. She brought banana bread to the hospital a couple days ago and has been very supportive. I hope to see her again soon to find out how she knew about TOTV or this thread, as she clearly signed up just to post this. I have PM'd her but no answer. I presume she has a relative or friend on the board.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's terrible. We nearly lost our son twice during the summer of 2007...we aren't made to watch these things happen to our kids or grandkids. Be strong.

Ed, there are no words that I can offer that haven't already been made that could sufficiently help relief the pain you must be experiencing at this time. I do however offer you this poem in hopes that it provides a small flicker of light to the darkness of the moment.

DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP

The Villages Florida

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on the snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gental autumn rain
When you wake in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die
