As far as why someone does something like this, they are most likely psychotic, in my opinion. It wouldn’t matter if they were immigrants or extraterrestrials. Although it seems fashionable right now to pick on immigrants. It’s all in a sick mind. To me it say; fear, the shooter is afraid of something.

exposure to violence does not increase violence or there would be hundreds of thousands of these kinds of shootings.

Same/similar logic gun availability does not increase mass shootings because with the millions upon millions of guns available there would hundreds of thousands of these kinds of shootings.

There is the reality of what is called condition reflex:

"conditioned reflex. An automatic response to a stimulus which differs from that initially causing the response but which has become associated with it by repetition. The sight of food causes a dog to salivate. If a bell is rung every time the food appears, the bell alone will, in time, cause salivation."

Applied to violence exposure VS food or ringing the bell!

Alleged shooters name is Connor Betts, 24 from Bellbrook, Ohio. Very close to Kettering and Ontario Historic District. He arrived with mask, flak jacket and a long gun of some sort. He is dead. This area is about twenty minutes on I75 from our home in Cincinnati for forty years. His 22 year old sister is among those dead.

The world is going crazy.
Here in UK a 17 year old boy has just been charged with attempted murder after throwing a six year old five floors off a balcony at the Tate Modern Art Gallery.
He did not know the child, and was quite calm about it when passers by detained him.
The child is in critical condition.
Not in the same category as a mass shooting, but makes you wonder what goes on in some peoples head.
