Verizon has been consistently excellent since we got here in 2009. Both voice and data.

Good luck with the indoor pool. Ya think you could have that done by the time I move to TV?
If anybody in the world can do it, Swimdawg can. It shows once again the enormous power of the Buffalo women. I just love every single person that I have met from Western New York. Do they have something special in the water up there????

Maybe it's the beef on weck? I am gonna have to try that soon!!

Verizon service in TV is very good. I have yet to be where there is no service or had a dropped call.

The above commentary goes beyond TV as well.

I know way too many friends and family that have AT&T issues elsewhere as described here in TV.

When we are in the mountains and lakes of TN Verizon customers are the only ones with service, not standing on the roof or a block down the road standing on a box to get a signal!!!

It's not just western NY, it's upstate NY, believe me ! There is a different mentality than downstate New Yorkers.

I was born in NYC, and lived my whole life in the NYC metro area, but spent a lot of time with work responsibilities in upstate NY.

Different kind of people and different attitudes.

Default At&t

Have had AT&T for over 15 years and have never had any problems here in TV or anywhere in the US. I have traveled in all lower 48 states, Alaska and Canada never any problems.

Dennis - Like you, we've never had a problem with AT&T cell reception in most areas where they profess to have coverage either......til we tried making/receiving calls from our home in Duval.

We're just snowflakes at this point so it's not enough of an overall issue to make me want to do something different to address it. But it sure is a PITA for us when we're there! However......the neighbors do get a chuckle out of seeing me standing in the driveway on top of a ladder, wearing a metal colander on my head, and holding a roll of aluminum foil high up in the air while trying to use the cell phone!

We continue to hold out hope that AT&T will see fit to follow through on their commitments to improve their service down our way sometime soon.

p.s., Like Dennis, we also have not had problems with our AT&T reception in TV. We're on the north side, so maybe we are closer to a tower??

Default Satellite TV

Remember the add on TV with the Guy on the Roof pointing his TV remote to the sky saying " Can I Please watch Sex in the City"

Watch out with Aluminum ladders and foil. Or the lighting Gods will find ya.

Default Verizon is the answer

I don't get it. Why would anybody want to keep AT&T in TV. It is lousy service here and many other places around the country.

In 2000 we retired sold our house and moved aboard our sailboat. Up until then we had AT&T but cruising the East Coast service was sporadic and unreliable. Switched to Verizon and all was better. In 2005 we sold the boat and decided to do the RV thing. Same result Verizon was the best by far especially out West.

In 2009 we decided to become dirt dwellers again, bought here in TV and AT&T was good here so we switched back to AT&T for the roll over advantage. This and last year something changed and AT&T went in the toiled. Two months ago we switched back to Verizon and will likely stay with them. Never lost our number as we could port from provider to provider.

I'm just wondering why settle for lousy service and hollow promises.
