Hi everyone,
How to remove the oil smell from a washing machine?
I washed several towels the other day and after I reached in, they smelled like two stroke motor oil. One of them was used to clean up the oil but now my washer has oil inside it. How do I remove it and the smell? I've ran it several time and it has reduced the smell but it's still there. Any ideas? Thanks!!!!

Well.....I hope this helps with the oil smell, I am sure others might have better suggestions. My son races various toys hehe, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, 4 wheelers....just about anything with speed hehe. I wash his gear and towels and such with Oxi Clean and they come out brand new and there is never any left over oil smell. If you dont have that....maybe a cup or two of bleach and fill washer with warm or hot water
let it sit and soak for a bit and then let it rinse out.

Good luck...hope it helps.

Vinegar is a neutralizer. Use plenty of it. Also www.heloise.com has helpful information. Good luck.

Hi,
First you Run the washing machine on hat water without clothing in it
just put 2 cups of white vinegar, 1/2 cup bleach, 1 cup baking soda that should take care of the problem.
