My son who is 35 will be moving to Florida is interested in getting a real estate license in this area. He has never sold real estate before but has worked in customer service for many years. Can anyone give me advice on the best way to go about this and what is required?.
Thank you |

Also, you might check with TV's real estate division. Am not clear on what license they have to have.

I took the necessary course thru the College of Central Florida in Ocala. They offer courses at the Ocala campus as well as online courses

When he gets to Florida, he may want to see a couple of Brokers and ask if they reimburse licensing costs.....It is a 65 hour pre-licensing course, followed by a 45 hour post licensing course within the first 2 years of getting license.
The people working in The Villages office are licensed, but they are not REALTORS(r). There's a difference (ask any Broker for details). Best of luck to him.. ![]()

They are licensed agents, but not members of MLS because they have their own VLS system.
