A Real Surprise

We were invited to attend a "Music and Light" concert at the Word Of Life Institute in Hudson, Florida which is about 1-1 1/2 hours away. We did not know what to expect but out of respect for the relative that invited us, (they live on the property of Word of Life) we decided to go. There are about 200+ College Students at Word of Life and they put on the performance.
As background I have seen a number of Broadway Plays including but not limited to Pajama Game, Phamton of the Opera (Original cast), South Pacific, Showboat, etc.etc. I only say this to support the point that I have some idea as to what a performance should be. The Music and Light concert exceeded any Broadway show I have ever seen. To say it was awsome would not be overstating it. They set it up as though it was in the 1940's with costumes to match, they somehow were able to have incrediable costume for a number of changes. The music would match or exceed any Broadway show. They sang a number of Christmas songs and in fact did the 12 days of Christmas with live members while I would guess 150 sang. I would guess there were about 500-1000 in attendance. I also heard that The Villages had at least one bus drive to the concert.
I will not go on but will say if anyone has the opportunity to experience this show it is well worth the drive. We almost missed going and now will not miss another one. Merry Christmas...
