Default RIP Mark "the Bird"

Mark "the Bird" Fidrych, Detroit Tigers All-Star Pitcher in the late 70's, died today at 54 when a truck he was working on fell on him.

How sad, Chuck. So young. Sorry I don't know his name, but I'm sorry about his passing.

Default Massachusetts Boy...

He will be remembered in his home state as well as by his fans in Detroit. I remember something written about him regarding pitching to Yaz at Fenway.

Unhappy Sorry to hear about the Bird

We are from Michigan and remember how great a pitcher he was for the Detroit Tigers.and how much fun it was to watch him in action.
He will be missed.
