tket..
I would love to but I am on an old dial up phone line computer and it loads about as fast as Trigger(stuffed). I might be able to see it tomorrow!

I really liked " Lassie" too. Big deal to walk to Grandmas on Sunday night and watch Lassie on her Black and White TV. Now remember I am only 57!

Got you spurs and cap gun? I had the cap gun. I'ld run behind trees and shoot the bad guys. I got a real horse at age 5. (saved him from a glue factory)

Roy Rogers lunch box would be a collector's item today.

We knew what constituted true happiness back then.

I've been to the museum twice. Had a one dollar bet with a firefighter at my station in Indianaplois, about who started "The Son's of The Pioneers". I said Roy, he said Gene Autry. I went to the museum and found out it was Roy. However the firefighter wouldn't pay up because I didn't have proof. So, the next year I went back and asked a person in the museum if Roy was in. he said he was out hunting but would be back soon. I was shocked that he would even be around. I took pictures of proof that Roy was in the original Son's of The Pioneer's group, got my dollar signed by the firefighter and it's still in my lockbox. By the way Nellie Bell is there, and I think Buttercup is also stuffed.

Costco in Norcal sells milk from a dairy in Fresno thats motto is "Hoppy's favorite" and has a pic of Hopalong Cassidy on the carton all dressed in his black outfit with black wide brim hat.

I can't imagine too many people shopping at Costco that remember Hopalong Cassidy. Must be that the dairy owner is a Hoppy fan.

Hoppy and Roy were both born in Ohio. Roy grew up in Cincinnati at the very site that the Bengals lose football games. Gene Autry is a "real" cowboy by birth, born in Texas.

Lassie was my favorite but this thread did remind me of my horse on springs that I would gleefully ride when a young'un.

Smile Still have my horse

Rokinronda,
I STILL HAVE MY HORSE!(on springs).
I don't ride it much anymore. I got my horse from Santa when I was 4 years old and I always wondered how Santa got him down the chimney?? (Bless my Grandma)
If I ever have a grandchild or have to downsize I will have to part with my horse.... but it won't be easy.

music "Happy Trails to You" music

When my youngest son was five years old (he is now 31) we had the opportunity to meet Roy Rogers at one of his restaurant openings. I still have the picture, not sure how to post it here though.

Great memory Pebbles. It would be a real kick to see that photo. I hope that you can find someone to scan and post ... or something like that
