We got our 2nd shot yesterday. 15 minutes after the shot, my forearm started going numb, then started to ache. This went off and on for the next six hours and then stopped. Went to bed, and 2 hours later woke up freezing, and that was it for sleep. A few hours later I was really hot, had a headache, and every bone in my body ached. My temp was 101, but Tylenol took it down. Not feeling great right now, but better than last night. My wife is in bed now with the chills and aches with a 100 temp. I've had colds that are worse, and this inconvenience is well worth it

Hope you are feeling better soon. Which vax did you get?

Back to normal. After dinner last night, still wasn't feeling great, but I decided to take an extra hot shower. Almost miraculously, I got out of the shower and was feeling fine. Who'da thunk?

Husband got 2nd Moderna vac Friday a.m. No reaction that day but during the night got chills and fever @ 101.5 and complained of an awful headache. He normally never gets headaches. Tylenol brought down the fever. Exhausted and cold and in and out of bed yesterday. Except for shoes, went to bed fully dressed with a light jacket and lots of cover. A little better this morning but still has a slight fever.

I had the Pfizer vaccine with no reactions either time, except a little soreness at the needle site.

Weird, same time and results the same. I think some folks just get a kick out of scaring others.
I had my second shot the same time of day as you. By the next day at around 10 am, I spiked a fever of 102.6 and had the usual effects of a high fever. Nothing scary about having a fever so I certainly wouldn't think I scared anyone by relaying my reaction. Actually, I have read that having side effects to the mRNA vaccines is actually a good thing. In fact, I posted a link to an article about it and I started a thread about it. This is it the thread...........

Vaccine side effects are actually a GOOD thing

Mr. Boomer and I had the second Moderna shot yesterday. Doing fine. A little soreness at the injection site, but not much -- actually less sore than the first shot. I fell asleep watching television, slept for a few hours, went to bed and slept more, for a total of 12 hours. That's not my usual so maybe that was a side effect. Whatever it was, I feel just fine today and so does Mr. B.

They use a fine gauge needle -- so you barely feel it, if at all.

By the way, I sure am not one of those anti-vaxxer people, but just for the record, I have never bothered to get a flu shot. I have had the flu one time. That was in the 1980s. (I hope I am not found guilty of hubris and get slammed with the flu. Maybe sometime I will get a flu shot, but for now, so far, I have somehow dodged the flu -- for years and years.)

With this one though, I was very happy to get the vaccine as soon as I was eligible. Covid does not leave much margin for error if your immune system decides to roll over. A friend -- in his mid-60s -- healthy guy (was) -- spent nearly two weeks in the hospital, almost died, back home now, but worrying he might be one of the long-haulers.

The virus is one smart little . That spikey thing is slicker than snot on a doorknob and is always looking for a ride.

I'd rather take my chances with the vaccine. If Bill Gates is tracking me, he is going to be really bored. I have not looked in the mirror for a few hours, but I don't think I am turning into a werewolf. I guess I'd better go check.

We got our 2nd Moderna shot yesterday with GMR.
Arm was sore but we slept fitfully.
Woke up today achy and really fatigued.
Tonight I got the chills and am running a temp.
Took tylenol & feeling a little better.

I don’t regret getting the vaccine. A day or two of not
feeling well is worth it.

We have 2 granddaughters turning 4 & 1 this Spring that we do not
want to miss.
