Default OP reply

I'm the original poster. I've been quietly watching and monitoring all posts every day.

Yes, the thread went beyond my original question, but open discussion is good in my opinion. I'm comfortable with the discussions going on within this thread....so continue on if you like, but I've gotten my original question answered.

I've gotten several replies via email, PM, and on this thread. I appreciate every one of them. I think what it all comes down to is what appeals to each person.

Someone graciously sent me several pictures and a couple of videos of Solivita. It shows a much smaller community with very nice amenities, but much quieter than TV. Some people prefer a smaller quieter community. They would not be comfortable in TV.

I don't need any additional pics or videos of TV since TV provides so many on their website and because of what I read in TOTV. TV provides a large number of activities and choices, and potential to be active and socialize. Some people prefer a larger community with more activity and choices. They would be bored in Solivita.

Several people mentioned other things about each community. Some of it is rumor, but some of it is fact. All of the information....every bit of it.....is helpful.

Ultimately, it boils down to what appeals to you.

Thanks everyone....EVERYONE.....for your input.

Default bad rumor

Agree, check the facts with the BOH. No outrageous outbreak of STD's. Remember also that the BOH registers for the entire county and not just TV but the rate of outbreak to be expected with the other counties in Florida.

Disagree about the shot though. I am a nurse and have worked in Women's Health. No shot to cure HPV just to prevent it and then does not prevent all strains of the virus. HPV is a precursor to possible cancer. Also, believe me, no one wants Herpes either which can be gotten without knowing it. I know this was said in jest but I have seen some very sorry situations. Just sayin.

This is our second time living in TV. Honestly, there is no other place like this, ANYWHERE!

Oh, I strongly disagree with that. As I said earlier, I’ve spent 4 or 5 winters in the Poinciana area around Solivita and the closest half way decent restaurants require at least a 40 minute drive to the 192 belt that runs north of Kissimmee.

That’s the equivalent of having to drive in your car from the north part of TV down 441 to Leesburg for dinner when you want to eat out at a nice restaurant. And that strip gets real busy during the height of the Disney season.

C'mon Ed, the Cherry Pocket Fish Camp is much closer than those chain restaurants on 192!
