Default Summer Rentals

Hi everyone. I am retired and my wife is a teacher who is nearing retirement in two years. We live in South Louisiana so we are used to the heat. I would imagine that there should be good availability of homes to rent during the summer. We would be most interested in June and July. About what may we expect to pay for a smaller home--one or two bedrooms? Is the summer time still fairly active or is it more like a ghost town? We are coming in March for a 3 day stay. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Daryl and Gloria

I have seen Patio Villas on the site advertised on the left side of the screen here thevillages4rent.com for about 1/4 the "in season" rate.

Can't tell hyou what the rates would be but no question they would be much cheaper. TV is never a "ghost" town, just more people during the winter months. The clubs are still there and active. We still golf, play tennis, softball and the like. The squares still have music but you can usually find a seat (not the case during the winter). The lines are much shorter for everything but you can still find lines at times. So, have no fear, come in June and July, you'll have plenty to do and see plenty of people.

Oh, and welcome when you get here!

I gotta agree with Red.
In fact, summer is my favorite time.
Not that I am unhappy about 'seasonal or snowbirds', but I love the warm evenings and pools during the day. Definately NOT a ghost town. In fact, it's rather enjoyable to see all the visiting grandkids having such fun
