I was not sure where to place this question....
Does anyone have an RCA Television with Guide Plus?
I do not have an instruction book.
When I turn on the TV the guide is on the screen. How do I set it so the guide does not appear until I want it? The guide doesn't work anyway.

Here's one response from the internet:

The easiest way to fix this problem is to go to the guide menu and scroll all the way over to setup hit ok and go to review options and then a screen will pop up that says Guide plus+ system auto display and choose off.

Another answer was to enter 00000 rather than your real zip code.

Another suggests unplugging the set for 5 minutes.

You might try one of these as well:

Option A:

* Select the GUIDE Plus+™ Menu from the Main menu.
* Select Setup.
* Select Options.
* Select Off.

Option B:

* Select the GUIDE Plus+™ Menu from the Main menu.
* Select GUIDE Plus+™ Auto Display from the GUIDE Plus+ menu.
* Select Off.

Option C:

* Press GUIDE on your remote control.
* Select the Menu bar.
* Press the right arrow button to select Setup.
* Chice Reviow options
* Choose Review Options.
* Select Off.

I was looking for an online owner's manual for you and found this. I don't know if it's your model but it's supposed to have the "guide plus". If you have a different model Google it and I'm sure you'll find a downloadable manual.
