I am so sad about this whole situation.
I lived in Hilton Head Island, SC for 17 years and was involved every year in volunteering for the annual PGA Heritage Golf Tournament which is always a week before the Augusta tournament. Tiger never played there because he always skipped a week between major tournaments.

Let me assure you, there are just as many golf groupies as there are rock star groupies. We would see them year after year and very open about it (unless the wives were with them)!

If the truth be known, Tiger is one of many; however, in my heart, I naively had the opinion that he was different. With the numbers of his infidelities increasing, I am wondering if he is done, finished.

Surely his beloved father didn't know and I am wondering how his mother is handling it - not to mention his wife.
Oh, well..............................sad, very sad

Having a prescription for Ambien and saying he was "on it" are two VERY different things. I have a prescription for Ambien. It was filled for 30 tablets on 1/21/2009. There are 7 left. There are plenty of days between 1/21/09 and 12/7/09 where I have had a glass of wine (or 3) and not been on Ambien. In the past I have had a prescription for Vicodin due to an injury. Does anyone remember that Tiger has had recent injuries/surgery? Is there any proof that he in fact mixed a cocktail of one, two or three of these substances? Does anyone remember that he just returned from Asia - and may have been so jet lagged that hes judgment was impaired without any substance at all?

Why are we so quick to jump to conclusions? The actual facts in this case are very slim indeed. Let's do unto Tiger as we would have others do unto us ... We live in paradise. We have much to be thankful for - including, in my case, a loving and faithful spouse. Why are we so quick to judge and condemn others? It isn't our job...

The first person (his neighbor) to get to the crash scene said he was "snoring". The accident occurred at 230 am in (what I believe) is the second largest SUV (behind Hummer) on the road. His speed was so slow the air bags did not deploy. Looking at the pictures of the vehicle, one should have simply walked away.... certainly NOT been "unconscious". Most importantly, he was so "impaired" he barely made it 50 yards out of his driveway before he was off the road and into a hydrant/tree. I'm open to other explanations but I believe prescription drugs (used legally) played a role in his impaired driving and impaired level of consciousness after the accident. i suggest you read the package insert for Ambien.... it specifically warns of this. This is simply a statement of opinion as to what may have caused the accident... no condemnation or passage of judgement implied.

I have read the package insert for Ambien and completely understand the side effects. I used to travel extensively internationally and it was the only way I could sleep on a plane.

I think that statements such as " :AND he was on Ambien (see my earlier post) and Vicodin. Ambien +Alcohol= catastrophe... every time." or :I can't imagine Elin can remain under the same roof with him much longer. " DO show a passage of judgment and by someone not in possession of all the facts. In fact reading them is much ,ike listening Rachel Maddow or Glenn Beck - two folks to seem to glory in trashing people based on fractions of the truth.

Let's leave judging him to his wife, mother and God. If, as you state, you are a Tiger groupie, let's pray for him to find a way to put this behind them and get on with their lives in the way that is best for them.

Golf is our sport. We have both played golf all of our life and so did our parents and even grandparents.

Tiger Woods life was the epitome of the American Dream. I know that we are sad about what has occurred. I think we are trying to understand how this could have happened. Most of us have witnessed divorces. It is very common anymore. Half of the population is divorced. It still is so painful to watch and must be horrible to live through.

I don't know what my fascination with this is....but I run to the TV when something new is posted. It hangs heavy on my heart. I don't know him but I am still trying to understand.

I have plenty of other things to do.

The fascination is that any logical thinking person following this story knows there is more to it than is currently available to the media/fans. Realizing the argument "it is none of our business" what caused the accident is also out there, the world (and now the Florida Highway Patrol)seems to await some explanation why his driving was so impaired. Thus, again this AM, the news reports are abuzz with speculation, theories, etc... investigative reporters remain in a frenzy and the public stops in their tracke and turns up the radio/TV every time tiger's name comes across the airwaves.

What warrants that comment? He has an opinion about this situation that differs from yours. How does that make him a "boy"?
