I am thinking about you Nonie! Remember that the most important things in life aren't things.

Nonie, just look at the progress you've made since May and how far you've come in such a short time. Great going!!

My good luck wishes on your auction, too, Nonie! Auctions are amazing though - seems like everything goes - even all kinds of pieces of things that go with nothing!! When our house sells, we're having a garage/moving sale, to sell everything from this house. I'm letting go of MANY things I'm still not convinced I can part with. Good thing the house we bought in TV has VERY LITTLE storage...............so the decision to throw, throw, sell, give away, has been made for me!

I am not sure if Nonie has done this exactly, but a friend and neighbor hired an auction firm to come in and advertize and auction off many of the things in her home she no longer needed or wanted to move. A garage sale is placing items out with your price on them.

They're probably wiped out and will need time to recover. It's got to be stressful to some degree.

Hope it all went well.

Awww thanks for remembering Ronda. I didnt want to bore anyone with the details.
but now that you asked...............

It was a long day. Sat at the auction from 9:30 am to 6m until the last piece of :edit: was sold!
Things sold very low but it is the economy and the area we live in so I wasant surprised. We got rid of everything they took away. I didnt feel the least bit of remorse, I only felt po'd when something sold for just a couple of dollars. But I am happy with the outcome and I highly recommend downsizing this way if you dont want the time and work involved in an estate or garage sale. Considering these were all items that I was not using and were just deteriorating in the barn, I am very happy.
oh and yes, I made enough to definitely buy that new L.R. set.in TV.

Thanks again for asking.

Glad it went well and there was no pain involved in getting rid of the things. Sorry people were so cheap -- guest it isn't just a TV trait. Everyone wants something for nothing (or as close to nothing as possible).

Thanks Red,

Its just that I had spent alot of time refinishing most of the furniture and when it went for 2 dollars I could feel my bloodpressure rise. I had to remind myself that I am happy to be rid of all these unwanted items that were serving no purpose at all!

Good Luck, Nonie. I remember those "preparing to move" days so well. Just knowing I was coming to TV kept me going. Best move I ever made in my life!!
