I can't speak for Gil, but I've talked to a number of people who feel that since the U.S. government bailed out GM and Chrysler, it might be to their advantage to keep the heat on the Toyota issue. Consumers might purchase more GM and Chrysler vehicles if they want to stay away from Toyota cars and trucks.
