Default UPS and Fedex lost again

Does anyone besides me find it strange that United Parcel service and FedEx don't put Gps in their trucks. Neither company has them at least not in the Seattle area. I get lost trucks roaming my neighborhood every Nov and Dec. Redirected two today.
I redelivered 14 packages last year that were left on my deck when I was out. This year we will be in the villages starting Dec 1, I wonder how many won't get their packages when I am not here to redirect and redeliver.

I have never had a package from either company misdelivered to me or intended for me, that I know of.

TrudyM, it really is a sight the first time you see the UPS golf cart hauling a little wagon delivering packages here in TV.

I worked for Fedex for 25 years. Just in my rather small last station I worked (Fort Myers, FL) we had well over 100 trucks. Magnify that by the number of stations throughout the country and the cost would be phenomenal. Realize at Christmas time, for both companies, it's "ALL HANDS ON DECK", everyone works wherever needed and all the routes are being run by different couriers depending on volume, not just the regular route knowledgable couriers. Know that those couriers are working long, hard hours, and MOST are doing their very best to be sure everyone gets their holiday packages. At least for Fedex, wherever I've been, this is our time to shine, and while we may falter a few steps, we are sincerely trying to do our best, spend many hours away from our families, and pretty much know, we get it done...period.end. So, thanks for giving us a hand...sorry you had to help, but we are grateful you did, and didn't just call to have us re-do it. Hopefully someday either company can return the favor to you. P.S. I DID hear it's pretty crazy down here too, so be forewarned

I just feel sorry for these guys trying to find addresses without GPS. Of course the one who just dumps all the neighbors packages on my deck cause he knows I will take them were they belong just makes me angry. But that is just one guy (who works for fedex by the way). But the others are just lost and as the driveways are steep going down to the waterfront it is rough on them.

Denise! Denephew is in Depew, in one of depews inside dechurch with Dwight flowers that line defront of defense!

May we stretch things a little with a tongue twister?

There was a fisherman named Fisher, who fished for some fish in a fissure.
Till a fish with a grin, pulled the fisherman in.
Now they're fishing the fissure for Fisher.

well, he's a schmuck, and NOT the norm..of course, I'm talking FedEx Express...can't really speak for the Ground and Home Delivery guys. They are a different breed and didn't "grow up" in the FedEx culture like we did. Although most of the ones we ever dealt with were like minded. (My husband is also FedEx Express retired with 33 years.) I hope that bad apple gets caught out!! Like the moron throwing the packages over the fence that went viral on youtube. NOT how most of us operate!!

It is hard for GPS to keep up with all these new streets that magically appear. My beef is when the delivery person will call for directions and THEN don't listen when I say it is a new village off 466 NOT 466A.

This has been true for a lot of off site delivery trucks, like Macy etc.

Imagine!! And the new zip code doesn't show up for a lot of things...32163. Says I'm using a bad zip. I swear this is why my health insurance with FedEx changed when I got here. They say I'm in a rural area, and I can't get to the bottom of where that's coming from!! I asked them to check out the 32162 zip (certainly NOT rural) and they say they can't!! Oh, well...I try not to think about it, or I'll HAVE to GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!
