Default VHS movie donations...

Does anyone know where we might donate a number of VHS movies? Where we lived before Florida, the libraries would take them. Around here, I'm not sure.

Default vhs movies

The Mark Twain Library behind the Paradise Rec Center takes all donations.
Everything from cd's, dvd's, vhs tapes, magazines, and of course books.

The Lake County Library System has a number of videos in the catalog. You might also want to check out the Mark Twain Library in Paradise Recreation Center here in TV. I am not sure that they take videos but would be extremely surprised if they do not.

There is a Lake County Library on Guava Street near the intersection of CR466 and US 441/27. Here's a link to a site (near the bottom) with a map to the Lady Lake Public Library-- http://www.ladylakelibrary.com/

I'll try Paradise Rec Center and if they don't want them, I'll try the Lake County Library. Thanks so much, Taltarzac.

Pooh, the Mark Twain Library is not part of Paradise -- it is a separate entity. It is located behind Paradise in what is kind of a basement for the Paradise Rec Center. It is really a great little library -- everything from the staff to the books to the magazines is donated. What Mark Twain cannot use, they then donate to the schools (such as all Reader's Digest magazines), local VA, etc. They truly appreciate each and every donation.

BTW -- For those who want to check out books there, all you need is your Villages ID card. Books are due 30 days after check out, movies/dvds/books on tape 7 days. Magazines are yours for the taking. There are no late fees and if you turn something in late, no one will say a word. I know of some snowbirds who check out books on tape for their drive home and return them when they come back down (not recommended but ....).

Thanks for the clarification, Red...I'd have been standing around with a box filled with old movies..
I'll look to see if I have anything else to donate.
