Default Vitrectomy eye surgery

I have a scarring on my retina from laser surgery to repair a tear and some traction on the retina from the aqueous humor detaching. I'm scheduled for retina surgery later this month. Right now I have blurry and wavy vision in the affected eye and can't read print. Has anyone had this surgery and if so can you tell me if it resolved the issues? Thanks very much

I had the vitreous humor in both eyes rupture a few years ago 2 weeks apart. One eye was left with floaters, which still persist. Your brain eventually gets used to it, so they rarely bother me anymore. The retinal specialists told me they could do a vitrectomy, but it would cause cataracts with near certainty, so they advised against doing it. But in my case, the effect on my vision was minor, so I chose not to do the surgery.
