Bravo, Warren, I subscribe to both of those vents.
The F-bomb is common verbalization for the new genre and it's way too common. Driving in the left lane is usually a matter of situational awareness and "me first" attitude. Thanks for your vent. Jimmie |

I also need to be aware of how often I say "NO PROBLEM" or THAT"S ALL RIGHT"

Cars that "piggyback" through the security gates. Just seems so lazy, and pushy.

I hate it when people vent their hatred toward those who feel the need to vent.

![]() As the story goes a guy needs solitude so he goes to a monastery high on a mountain. The Abbot informs him that he has to take the vow of silence. However on every one year anniversary he can speak two words to the Abbot. The man is escorted to his room. He finds many faults with the room. On his 1st anniversary he says to the Abbot while pointing up to the ceiling "bed wet". The Abbot goes about making sure the hole in the roof above the man's bed is repaired. On the 2nd anniversary the man appears before the Abbot and says "room cold". Again the Abbot responds and repairs a broken window which had been allowing the cold mountain winds to overtake this man's room. On his 3rd anniversary the man addresses the Abbot again and says "bed hard" whereupon the Abbot responds b----that's all you do is b---- So much for venting. |

[QUOTE=Warren Kiefer;707006]I am proud of you, there have been some good pet peeves, some that also bother me but I had forgotten about. I would like to add the ease with how often young people use the "F" word in public settings and without regard for those around them. Oh Gosh, I would like to add another, how about those drivers who stay in the left lane of multi lane highways and cause traffic to back up and cause other drivers to take chances by passing on the right.[/QUOTE
100% agree on both counts. Cannot understand why people cannot drive in the correct lane and why 4 letter words are so necessary in converstations. Maybe just not well educated, as there needs to be an excuse. |

Um, it's not only young people. I was eating at Athen's yesterday. Next to me was a table of six "gentlemen." All obviously Villagers, retired and had just finished playing golf. About every third word was a curse word and the "F" word was flying fast and loose (and it was too early to be drinking -- around 10:00 am).
I curse. Heck, I can make a sailor blush (you should have heard my first words in English), but certainly not around people who might be uncomfortable hearing it (unless seriously angry). Oh, and you should hear me when someone is in the fast lane and I have to move over to pass them.

Agree about the F word and other Krass sounding words like that really SUCKS! esp from women or young ladies. I guess I don't like it from young men either but my daughter has used it...grates on my nerves.
Also wish younger women tried harder to be feminine. Of course this is not the case for all young women. I know this may strike a chord with you but I have heard from many a young man who wished the same. The disrespect by the younger ones....kids, teens and 20 yo. esp toward those older, maybe a little slower than they are. Older or mature adults who let the cursing flow with no regard for those that hear it. Those who don't pick up litter after themselves and don't seem to care that the place they are leaving needs picked up.
