Question Wearing Red on Friday's...SUPPORT THE TROOPS

I have never heard this until today and am wondering if anyone else has... I went to work in the cutest new turquoise blouse today and looked around noticing that almost everyone else was wearing RED. I certainly stood out but not because my blouse was so cute....but because it was not red!

I ofcourse inquired about the trend....
I was told that it is in support of our troops....at home and abroad! WOW...this is a great idea. No one really knew where it started or when it started...they just all wear red on Friday's!!

Except now I have to go shopping...I don't have any red~! Must go shopping!

Has anyone else heard of this great tradition?

Talking

I had not heard of this...certainly an easy way to support and thank the men and women in the service.

I have a red vest on today...purely coincidence......from now on I will plan to wear red on Friday's

New to me also. Talked to some friends at Camp Pendleton and asked them about that. They had not heard of the Red Deal. I know yellow is for the Troops. I remember coming back from Iraq in 91. Never seen so much yellow. Anyway, Red it will be on Friday..

See this link - the wear red thing started 2 years ago in Canada. I'm glad that it is spreading
