My computer broke down recently and I started using my smart phone. After getting a bit of help (granddaughter and wife), I sort of like using this I-6 as a mini computer.

I think many of us are frustrated and in awe, maybe shock, about how much has changed just since 9/11/2001. For many of us, just since we retired. It's really difficult to keep up with the technology and accept all of the social changes of the 2000's.

Too much change and too much information. Fore!

We no longer have healthcare that is dependable because for some, trying to get into a competent Doctor is next to impossible and the co pay is so high that you would be in debt for years trying to pay it off. We can no longer get prescriptions that are prescribed to us because insurance won't pay for it. Veterans wait so long to see a Dr. That they either die or commit suicide. You make a phone call to a Busness and you cannot possibly speak to a human...pressing numbers is your only choice. When you go to an emergency room for treatment you have to wait so many hours that you figure you may as well go home and suffer or die there. We have no leadership in our country any more. Crime is at an all time high and judges release the criminals faster than the police can complete the paperwork. I could go on and on about why I see that people are angry but you get the idea. Now all of the above does not necessarily apply to everyone but it's sure applies to many. People are stressed and fed up. This is just my opinion. There's no need to debate me or tell me I'm wrong....it's just my opinion for what it's worth.
The "Good Ole Days" always look better in hindsight with memory starting to fail with aging.

Move on. Read more of the thousand news sources online and vote out the establishment candidates' monopolies in DC.

Six of the wealthiest ten counties in the nation are in the Beltway Crony Capital.
"Want to live the good life? Move to Washington, D.C. Or, specifically, to its suburbs.

Six of America’s 10 wealthiest counties lie within a stone’s throw of the Beltway. Plenty of lucrative jobs are available in tech contracting and other professional services, while other big sources of employment are local school systems and major federal agencies like the Department of Defense.

None of them are in California or Texas, no so Silicon Valley or oil money here. None are in New York, either, although Wall Street money does show up in a couple of wealthy New Jersey counties that make the list, Hunterdon and Somerset....."

This post reminds me of when my kids were fighting, not much was really accomplished.

Much of what has been posted in this thread is probably true and much of it deals with the negatives of life in our country at this time. While I would not attempt to argue with anything that has been said I tend to look at the positives of life. At the same time I am unable to ignore that we the "innocent majority are irrelevant" but I'm not sure how I can personally change that. I do write, discuss and debate issues but having done that I tend toward seeking out and enjoying the time I have left on this earth with positive-minded people.

And I DO love reading TOTV on almost a daily basis. Some of it is very good, some bad and some just plain funny.

Take care, all. Life is what you make it.

Well said. There are enough people spreading this fear and gloom.
