Talking

After nearly 20 years in a travel agency not given to expensive gifts unless they made a client happier, I was delighted to receive First Class air travel (using the boss' mileage) from St. Louis to Glasgow, Scotland and return. I had to pay for the tour I took in Scotland, but didn't have to use my own miles to sit up front!

Of course, I was already pretty spoiled, and now hate the thought of flying across The Pond "behind the curtain!" I understand that people actually do sit back there!

Talking My retirement gifts.....

When I retired 10 years ago, my only retirement gifts came from myself; a white leather LazYboy recliner, and my first home PC which brought the www into my home

Thanks for all your good ideas - I have until next week-but like the idea of the PC or the rocking chair with the little placque on it. Of course gift certificates and cash are always good. Hope someone gets me a good gift like that - if I can ever retire ---now I am looking at trying to complete this year and hope the market comes back.
