Just kidding. Not a candy BAR, but the most delicious I know of is Enstrom’s milk chocolate-covered Almond Toffee. Oh, YUM! Buy it fresh in Denver or have it mailed to you (but not in Florida in the summer).

Almond Toffee, Toffee Petities, Toffee Square, Toffee Popcorn | Enstrom Candies

Peanut Chews were developed and, during most of their history, manufactured by the Goldenberg Candy Company, which was founded by a Romanian immigrant, David Goldenberg, in 1890.

Peanut Chews were first introduced in 1917. The candies were originally developed for use by the U.S. military as a ration bar during World War I. The high-energy, high-protein recipe and unique taste made it popular with the troops.

In 1921, Harry Goldenberg introduced the first wrapped Peanut Chews candy for retail sales. In the 1930s, the candy was converted from a full-size bar to small individual pieces.

In 1949, Harry and Sylvia Goldenberg (2nd generation) purchased the Peanut Chews Division of D. Goldenberg, Inc., to focus solely on the production of Peanut Chews candies. In 2003, Just Born, Inc., a Bethlehem, Pennsylvania–based candy company, purchased the Peanut Chews brand and the Northeast Philadelphia manufacturing facility.

All of them! Love candy. But before I got a real career, I worked for a company that sold Butterfingers, Baby Ruths, and Peppermint Patties to the supermarkets.

I had enough to float a boat. It was free to me, by the case!

But does anyone remember Turkish Taffy?

Heath or Skor bars for me. On occasion, we buy Fannie May's S'mores Snack Mix at Costco (in what seems like mass quantities when on sale) when we visit our son in Longwood. Now Sam's Club has them. Try them, they are addictive. Limit myself to one piece a day, so my glucose meter doesn't explode

Sure... we used to put them in the icebox to harden, then slap them on a counter to break them into pieces.

While not a candy 'bar' NECCO wafers, these just came back and I scored 4 packages. The new ones look and taste exactly the same, except for the chocolate which has more chocolate taste. love to snake on these.

Everyone of those candy memories makes my mouth water. My all time favorite was Chunky. Does anyone remember Chunky. It was about an inch thick of chocolate with a soft center

Arnold Stang did commercials for Chunky. ("What a chunk of chocolate!")
