Our grandkids especially enjoyed riding around in the golf cart. There is also a really neat place for family kayaking at weeki watchi springs which is pretty much a float trip down a small creek, where you see birds and lots of fish in the water. You can stop along the way andhave a lunch. You rent the kayaks and they pick you up at the end and take you back to your car. We did it in March, so I don't know how it is bug wise or water level wise in August.

I thought at that age kids were just happy sitting in front of the television playing their video games. It will probably be to hot outside for them as todays high is expected to be 93 degrees.

Wait just one minute! I have a good idea. Give the kids your cell phone and let them text message your friends. That could create some good conversation later in the day.

Have them pull weeds in your garden.

At night take them to any of the spots for dinner and let them run wild disrupting everyones dinner.

I thought at that age kids were just happy sitting in front of the television playing their video games.

They are very active, play on several baseball & basketball teams.....

Video games are a winter sport in Northern Pa..........and besides, the new generation of Moms limit the boob tube games.

We take them waterskiing - that's what we tell them when we tie them to one end of a rope and go trolling down the St. John's.....just like my grandparents used to do with me! (LOL)

That is hysterical!

Today that would be considered child abuse.

Another alternative is to let them try some scientific experiments such as whether it is true that you can hold an alligator's mouth shut with one hand.
