I interviewed a WWII Veteran the other day for a video biography. He was well traveled, going to Europe 8 diffrent times, and has been to every state in the US of A during his 88 years. Had a pretty exciting life I must say with regards to seeing alot. He was very thankful for the opportunity to see all he has. For years now he has had trouble walking and getting around, and is saddened by the fact that he will never get to go visit some friends in Ireland.

If there is one thing in this world we "should take advantage of, but never take for granted, is our health." "Use it while you've got it" because "when you can't travel easily the world sure does get smaller."

I'll take that to heart.

Emery:

it's so good to hear someone so young to be wise at heart. Your profile says your 35.

One thing is for sure as you get to be a senior citizen is that one's health makes one very wealthy in spirit.

I watched a library-DVD a couple of days ago about "The Ice Age". It was a recreation of cave men trying to survive in the freezing cold. All they had were animal-skins wrapped around themselves and spears for hunting. Often they were hunted by the animals.

After I saw the movie I thought: "I guess I have it pretty good here in The Villages."

I love it that anyone 35 wants to listen to "the older generation"
