Very interesting to know. I'll bet all of the old ethnic groups had a similar legend or folk tale, which...let's face it, does make the season more magical as far as a child's imagination goes.........

I'll have to ask my daughter in law who was raised on a cattle and horse ranch in Oregon; they also had sheep, goats, you name it.....she still has an abiding love for all animals as well as her two little daughters who have loved all of God's creatures since babyhood. No fear at all of any animal, no matter how big or small.....these little girl babies love them, whether it's at the zoo in the children's petting area.......or at their grandpa's ranch/farm or in their own back yard.....miniature goats and chickens.
