Default Who will win? Top Ten on American Idol poll.

Now that there are ten left. I can redo the poll to fit in with TOTV parameters.

Default Adam Lambert is in the lead so far with this new American Idol poll.

Wonder if this will stay that way? Internet Movie Database link for Adam Lambert-- http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2189338/

Default Sorry, SteveFromNY. I only have 10 options.

Will have to wait until a few more options are open to add some more choices.

I do not know if I will watch all that much of Season 8 of American Idol though if there are no more attractive females on it singing.

There might just be a top 3 of 4 group of men.

Was so much funner when Carrie Underwood or someone like her was on.

I really got tired of it 2 seasons ago. I got annoyed 3 seasons ago when Daughtry got kicked off (who's done incredibly well) and Taylor Hicks got picked (has he even MADE a song since then?). And the following season when Jordan Sparks won, well, I swore after that year I'd never watch it again. I thought that short girl Melinda (I think) had so much more talent. But it was clear during the 3rd to last week when one guy and 2 girls were left that one of the girls would go. I was shocked when it was Melinda. But since she was older, and all the teenage girls voted for the guy, and all the teenage boys voted for Jordan, Melinda didn't have a chance despite her talent.
I did break my vow and watch one of the early episodes this year and remembered how much I didn't like all of those humiliating auditions when the really bad people came out and embarrassed themselves.
So color me apathetic about Idol.
Thanks for posting the poll though. I know a lot of people still pay attention.

I always put the show on DVR so I can watch it like it should be watched, as a talent show. I skip through most of the crap and even most of the judges opinions. The whole 2 hours takes 25 minutes tops! The results show takes even less - maybe 7 minutes for the 1 hour show.

Default Idol Talent

We all know that Idol is more of a popularity contest rather than the best singing talent. I do think Adam is a very talented singer and surely has what today's generation relates to. Lil Rounds has a beautiful voice and great stage presence .... if she has a large following she may give Adam some competition.

Maybe yes, maybe no.

Are you saying the Kelly Clarkson, Cary Underwood, David Cook have no singing talent?

Yes there have been a couple of misses such as Taylor Hicks over Daughtrey and Katherine McPhee (I think that was the same year) but some very good talent, both from the winners and others, has come out of the Idol franchise.

I tried to vote but kept changing my mind. I will have to wait til the competition slims down since I cannot make up my mind. It's like picking a winning horse, I can't seem to do that either or end up with bets on 3 or 4 of them.

Default Church groups may influence the winner of American Idol this season.

There seems to be a religious factor coming in with predicting who will win this Season of American Idol.

Christian groups on the Internet seem quite interested in this Season of AI. This could mean a big boost in votes from Christian groups who promote various contestants on their blogs.

There are also quite a number of this season's players who have Christian choir or types of Christian music backgrounds.

No Russ, I am not at all saying those you mentioned, as well as many others, have no singing talent. I just feel that since it is the call in votes that determine the winner and as a result sometimes the better singer leaves too early because he or she just didn't get the votes. Talor Hicks surely didn't win on his singing talent....he happen to have a large support group. Just my opinion.

Here's a hint to see who will be the winner; Go to AmericanIdol.com and click on "blogs or forums" and scroll down to the names of the contestents, the one with the most hits will be the winner. It's been true for every season.

I checked the Forums section for the Contestants and Adam Lambert had the most posts with 28,103. Anoop Desai came next with 19,897, then Danny Gokey with 10,412, and finally Matt Giraud with 10,079. The others had less than 10,000 posts. http://myidol.americanidol.com/go/fo...Current_Season
