Muncie,

Are you a Redleg? I was a redleg for all 20+ years of service... Can't hear squat after all the time on the guns.. but you have to love the smell of the gun powder when a battery of 155's shoots at 0500 -- even better than the "smell of naplam" (from Apocalypse Now)

Watch the teamwork of these guys.... it is really something to see firsthand :#1:

The guy putting in the last white bag doesn't even have time to put his fingers in his ears before they fire. Wonder how many times the guy on that work station gets creamed by the recoil?

Funny thing is that they never recheck the deflection or quardrant.... big no no sorry about sort of highjacking the thread.....

Larrydube - the clips I watched had the chief checking deflection. Some really good stuff. I was a redleg - 1st Batt 78th Arty. Batter Exec - no combat, just over 2 two years at Ft Sill and Ft Hood. My hearing is also very suspect. "Artillery adds dignity to what otherwise would be a brawl".
