All of you watching this thing on HLN should be given big gold medals ... How do you sit thru 2 minutes of testimony and 4 minutes of commercials?

The Orlando Network channels 2, 6 and 9 are broadcasting live and only interrupt when court is in recess. I know what you mean about commercials. I watched Courttv for many years, and saw many trials and would hate it when they would talk over or cut in during live testimony. During the Jodi Arias Trial, HLN did something new, when they went to commercial they would 'pause' the trial and you wouldn't miss anything.

I agree. I do not believe race has anything to do with lying. She is a proven liar so how much of what she says will the jurors believe? Some people just lie anytime they want to get their way or to avoid taking responsibility for their actions. I have known lots of poor people (black, white and brown) and most were upstanding citizens who worked hard and lived according to and respected the laws of our nation. Race and financial status is no excuse for that type of behavior.

Trayvon Martin Friend, Rachel Jeantel, Returns To Stand At George Zimmerman Trial

I have not been watched this trial but for those of us who follow by the Internet here is a link to a recent article.

And to think her testimony could be used to convict a man and send him to prison for years, if not for life.

I really doubt if she had a great impression either negative or positive on the jury. The physical evidence is usually the most important matter.

Unfortunately their really isn't much physical evidence and they have to rely on eye and ear witnesses.

Zimmerman should be looking at some jail time here, most like on manslaughter. Blaming his guilt on her testimony and not on his inability to follow written regulations and oral orders is funny to me. GZ is in this situation because of his actions not her testimony.

I think the jury will feel she was jabbered to much by the defense, we will find out when the trial is over and the jury speaks.

I don't think you can compare St. Petersburg 45 years ago to present day Miami. I grew up in Miami and I wouldn't even compare 1968 Miami to 2013 Miami.

I did see a little of that. I would tend to agree that this was not a smart tactic to keep hammering on someone like that as the defense did with Rachel Jeantel.

Rachel aside, we should focus on the defense attorney, who missed a Golden opportunity, and told a lame knock-knock joke. No matter what side you were on, everyone in the audience was stunned!

Which is worse, then or now? Funny you said 1968. I went to a football game at the Orange Bowl in 1968 and we caught a bus in Ft. Lauderdale and as we got close to the stadium a large crowd of blacks swarmed out in the street and pelted our bus with rocks. We had several broken windows and I decided right then, I would never go back to the city of Miami.

My mother always told me birds of a feather flock together, in this case Rachel "Diamond" Jeantel and Trayvon Martin. That the two of them were close reveals a lot about him IMHO!
