Sorry 'bout not being more informative. Hope we are organized enough by then to make the trip. With luck we should have everyything out of the truck and car & into the house by then.

I'd really like to go too. My husband will be in Colorda and I'll be on my way to Northern NY for a wedding.

I don't mean to sound snide - but is there a reason that this isn't being held on Memorial Day or Veteran's Day? I'm just wondering where the August 28 date came from.

djplong, that is the date and the location of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s, I Have A Dream speech.

The National Urban League, Al Sharpton, the New Black Panther Party, the NAACP, and other so called civil rights groups are planning "counter rallies" to protest the gathering. It does feel more and more like I've fallen down the rabbit hole.
