Default AARP Emails on Health Care "Reform"

Today I received two emails from AARP (one from National and one from AARP FL) with content saying:

- (From Barry Jackson, AARP Online Advocacy Manager) "If your inbox is anything like mine, you're getting a lot of emails about how SCARY health reform is. From allegations about rationing care to wild reports of government-sponsored euthanasia, the rumors just keep getting crazier.' The email alslo requests I forward the email to other.

- (From FL AARP) "There's a maze of misinformation out there on health reform. Because the stakes are high, you need the facts. AARP Florida's "Whopper of the Week" details the latest myth on health reforms, gives you the facts and helps you be heard on this important issue.' The email insinuates that FL AARP has all the "facts" and that Medicare is dependent on all of this.

So much for AARP being the "Seniors' Forum" and being informed. These emails were blatant in their support of the proposed legislation.

Are you getting any of these emails, too?

I chuck all AARP mailings in the mail unopened. Used to belong and soon decided AARP exists for AARP.
