I spotted Pence as a consumate liar from the get go. He wants us to believe he is a true man of faith, don't fall for it.

The source I used was quoting a Rachel Maddow video segment. Maddow, who was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and has a Ph.D in political science, is one of the most respected, and respectable, sources of information today.

It seems you are correct in your assumption. If you look beyond the OP's biased article, it appears that Marc Lotter is leaving his position to take on a role on the outside to enhance the Trump/Pence agenda (per Bloomberg, CNN, and others). The OP is a good example of someone who only reads/hears what they want to hear, ignoring as they call it "the rest of the story". And yet they continue to call us the uninformed ones.

You forgot to add - and one of the most biased. Your continual touting of one's credentials is not all that impressive to people who seek truth. One has nothing to do with the other. Honest reporting doesn't take a degree.
