Not sure why you mention Clinton and Obama, but for the most part the raid was well received.

Those on the extreme far right are upset, but reality, as mentioned a number of places, including me on here will not work in the world as it is today.

The world is smaller. Trade is universal. You cannot simply close up and shut out the world.

This was about two things to me.....you cannot gas anyone, let alone so many innocents. I still think of the United States as a leader and thus we cannot ignore such things.

Secondly, the Russians have been doing as they wish anywhere they want. They and Iran have propped up Assad for a long time. Russia told the UN they would keep the gas weapons under control, and we are still looking into whether they were directly involved.

There was no intent to drive anyone out of Syria...we have troops in Syria. It was purely and totally a message down to the type of weaponary.

Here's the problem...what message was delivered?

The exact same problems still exist...after we bombed some asphalt.

We either choose to actively oust Assad (which calls for military strikes on real targets, taking a hard line against Putin and probably boots on the ground)...or stay the course with sanctions, rhetoric and being laughed at by Putin.

I bet he does the latter, because quite frankly...it's probably the best of a lot of really poor choices.

On that...I agree.

Any bets though, that it won't happen and instead Trump will give a campaign speech along the lines of... "See how tough I am as CIC...unlike Obama?"

And then Chump will create another diversion (most likely by another outrageous lie, delivered by Twitter) so as to try and distract people from realizing, that he hasn't done anything...and isn't planning on doing anything.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he didn't initially react personally to those heinous images of children being gassed...until Kushner or Ivanka expressed their own outrage and forced him to think about it.

That's simply because he's a narcissistic sociopath and is incapable of having actual compassionate feelings for others...if they don't serve his purpose.

Everyone should remember that he didn't mind the same images back in 2013...when was busy telling Obama not to take military action or to ask Congress for permission.

Frigging hypocrite!!

Newsflash, there are just as many azzholes and jerks from Ohio...as anywhere else.

And if the state of Ohio actually gave you a teaching license...then YOU are the proof.

As to your constant mentioning of family members in a denigrating manner, you're ALWAYS talking about how others must not have been raised right (implying poor parents) or telling people you feel sorry for their spouses/children/relatives.

What is it about you, that you are so insecure about your own family issues...that you have to constantly mention other people's?

As far as the 'C' word, it has never passed my lips...or fingertips.

That you would put that putrid word in the same category as 'twit'...perfectly exhibits your defective personality.

So just answer the questions.

1. Why are you always so nosy about everyone else's personal life?

2. Why do you make up lies about a persons professional life, spouse/children's circumstances and accomplishments?

3. Why do you so often like to drag in a person's spouse/children/family members...in a denigrating manner?

4. Why do you think you have more power and are more special on this site than other members, to the point where you think you can tell them to "be quiet" or "pipe down?"

5. Why do you feel the need to, and are always trying to play the... "and no one else likes you either" card? Which is just further explanation of question #4.

6. Do you really believe that your passive-aggressive use of the real first name of someone you might know, is fooling anyone into believing...that you're not just doing your usual bullying and attempt to not-so-subtlety intimidate?

7. Do you really believe that you're so much more clever than everyone else, that most people can't see through your passive-aggressive behavior...and your obsessive need to control everyone?

So please tell us the answer to those questions...'AS EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW.' (Yes, that was sarcasm)

Bull$hit.

if you are a representative, Ohio people are just sneaky, passive-aggressive azzholes...whereas others are honest enough to state their feelings.

And just like Rocky said, you are constantly trying to paint with a broad-brush and judge others (or support those who do)...so how does Karma feel?

I attack YOU, because you attacked me first and am tired of you attacking everyone else in what you THINK...is your clever, passive-aggressive nastiness.

Newsflash...you're NOT that clever.

Syrian jets take off from air base hit by US - Yahoo
Quote:

Two Syrian jets took off today from the air base that was hit by U.S. missiles and carried out strikes on areas under ISIS control in the countryside of eastern Homs, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Syrian government responded to Thursday night's U.S. strike on its Shaayrat air base by quickly fixing the base and allowing the two planes to take off from there, the human rights organization said.

A U.S. official said Syrian planes took off from the base today but did not confirm the action taken by the plane.

The official noted that up to 20 Syrian aircraft were destroyed in Thursday's airstrikes but added that the missiles did not no target every aircraft at the base and that the runway was untouched.

What's all The hoopla about. Our government told the Russians were we were going to hit Russian told Syrian government. Hit facilities without killing lots of people. Basically ilimating that base. Some people are so party brainwashed damn if we say don't and damn if we do.

IMO I feel we need to get out, no American life it worth all the sand in the Middle East. Damn sure ant worth life in ****hole Syria. Put out of UN, NATO, quit giving money to foreign countries. Let Europe deal with it. Let them pay for it for awhile. We have enough problems on our side of the pond to worry about.

2. I will try to find that thread. You did not use that link. Rubicon cited it, and I chastised him for using a Russian web site, and I was "CHASTISED" by both you and some a few others, telling me how it's not fake, etc etc.

Will find it but won't promise when, but I will allow it for you in here.

Very vivid....might be the first time one of your friend that you defend on her called me ROCKFACE. Not the same supporter who takes the liberty of changing your name when replying and making another mocking word, but similar.

PS. LETS BE CLEAR I NEVER EVER SAID YOU QUOTED THEM. Isaid "not that you posted but gave laudatory comments to. Zerohedge is a Russian site by the way." which is substantially different than what you say.

Secondly, I doubt you had a clue what you were endorsing. You seem to endorse everything he does, including but not sure...you were unhappy with his PLAGARISM being called out. Again, it was not just you...I still get the occasional verbal barb on that. I am sorry I annoy you so much, but I am still the same as always. Seems I am not your "friend" simply because I have always been skeptical of Trump. That fact alone validates my comments on what he has created with his dialogue, mostly from the WH. As you can see, I am a bit more optimistic today, but still will never share ever iyour feelings for this person.
I had a nice day at the golf course on Friday followed by a nice meal with dear friends. So too tired to get back on my computer. then cleared my e-mail this AM (4/8)and moved to Political Talk and on my review of the very first thread find my name was invoked falsely and in vain .

First I found the post neither fanciful nor factual.

Second it appears I am a man more sinned against than sinning (Hamlet)

Third I do not know where this poster ever came up with my use of ZEROHEAD but I can tell you the first time I ever heard about it was from this poster when he made that false accusation the first time. One wonders how the accuser is so familiar with this site?

Fourth with as many news outlets, Websites, blogs much of the same information overlaps. so technically all news runs together

Fifth this poster alinsky tactics of falsely attacking people to intentionally cause loss of credibility and to deflect from the real issues has gotten old tiresome and ineffective.

Sixth I find it disturbing that this poster is so intent and intense that s/he actually believes there is need to do an in depth search to find a post that supports his/her allegations. To work this hard and take so personal an opinion blog is disturbing.

To continue to believe that the recipient of the above post and I know each other and conspire is delusional. We have never met and we simply post on the same board.

You my friend need to take a pause, reflect, find a hobby, pray because you are taking this forum too seriously and its all about nothing, meaning simply talk, opinion, a past time. GGEEZZZ

Personal Best Regards:

Assad's action where inhumane, and a major breach of the rules of the Geneva Convention. A response was warranted.

Trump actions were warranted properly measured and effective in that he made it clear he is not "no drama Obama" as John Bolton refers to him.

Trump's actions coupled with Haley's message to the UN will certainly make it clear where America stands.

However if Trump did not respond then our foes worldwide would have viewed him and thus America as still weak and with no will to act.

Trump was also right not to go to Congress because those guys have a difficult time deciding what they will have for lunch let alone make real decisions.

Trump needs to strategically position our Army, Navy Air Force to demonstrate to our allies and enemies that we mean business. In my view this really is a deterrent to prevent this situation from escalating.

finally it was predictable that the usual suspect would surface with their standard criticisms . Meantime serious people continue with the laboring oars.

That wasn't nice. I know a lot of Italian East Coasters whose mouths belong to my friends. What was I thinking?

I apologize for that. They are nice people. They are caring people and they say what they think.

And they cook so many good things.

I am so embarrassed. That was ugly on my part.

And yet Trump tweeted that we should stay out of Syria...AFTER Assad gassed civilians in 2013.

So where did Chump's now, and all-of-a-sudden...'supposed' personal compassion come from?

Simply more flaming hypocrisy from Chump...and his cultists.

Yes, it is very predictable when actual intelligent people bring up hypocrisy and blind cultist partisanship...when those who try to obfuscate fail.

Sucks for you I know..but you need to get to used to it.

It looks like the Syrians have already got planes off from the airfield that was bombed. Planes are carrying out attacks from the same Syrian airfield the US attacked
