The DOJ has seen it necessary to deny that Trump explicitly requested them to go after CNN with the Time-Warner deal. I seem to recall in the not too distant past, a country where citizens could get their news by inverting claims the government made. Could that have been...Russia? Germany in the 1930s? China in the Cultural Revolution? Maybe all of them in their authoritarian eras.
