Let me add a little more to it. A family of four making middle income wages of about $50K per year will pay NO Federal Income tax.

Gawd, facts really, really pi$$ you off...don't they?

Why would that 47% ever vote for any kind of austerity measure?
Yes...we KEEP electing the same old corrupt trash...Ds and Rs...I don't know why, but we as a people, can't seem to stop doing it. We're voting for our own demise. We vote for crooks who steal from us for their friends.

WHAT will you cut? Defense? SS and medicare for people who contributed to society all their lives? Or welfare? Welfare is a cool $trillion a year. Going to what? Hungry violent mouths who hate us because we're better than they are?

They DO pay taxes...everything they buy has been taxed at every level of production. Sometimes half the price of an item is tax. They don't pay income tax because they don't make enough to meet the minimum level to be taxed.

IN FACT, they pay a MUCH HIGHER PERCENTAGE of their income to taxes, both federal and state through payroll/Social Security/gas/sales/etc./etc.)...than you probably do.

Forbes Welcome

Yes they do...you are correct. Everyone who shops and buys things pay tax. Utilities charge tax. Pretty much everything is taxed.

BUT they DON'T pay a whole class of taxes...income taxes. Because as I said earlier...they don't make the minimum income to be taxed. They USE tax dollars...they're a net DRAIN on the economy because they don't contribute as mush as those who DO pay income tax...and they're more likely to be using "free" government services and welfare.

You have A fact correct, but you fail to interpret it correctly. YOU are the one being disingenuous and misleading. Implying they pay "equally" as far as paying taxes is concerned, when they do not. They pay SOME taxes...but not as much as a typical white family who IS saddled with paying income tax.

She does twist it. They pay SOME tax but not ALL that a typical white family would. Income tax can be many thousands per year. It's funny how ALL it does is pay the interest on the $20 trillion debt.

No, TROLLS amuse me. For a minute there, I thought you might even be interested in an honest discussion. I was mistaken, because you were just attempting to bait someone in to get attention.

Yeah, yeah, I get it.

Posting actual facts and proof to dispute innuendo and lies...is nothing but being a 'troll' in your mind.

You're just gonna have to learn to live with the embarrassment.

Wrong again (unt!

It is you that has the problem with facts. You seldom provide any fact to back your claims up, you feel your opinion and emoji is all that is needed to substantiate your opinions. When you have been proven wrong, and that has happened many times, you try to twist words around and bully others into submission.

Pathetic...must have been picked on quite a bit growing up...

Let me know when you come up with some actual facts. I am interested, if you can get past all your childish petulance. Generally, I try to avoid fighting with females.

Good idea...how do you argue with "feelings"? They "feel" it should be a certain way...so they believe it IS that way. They'll argue and argue with no logic whatsoever. Sometimes my jaw literally drops when I hear a woman "reason" something out.

I hear NOTHING about our trillions deficit from President elect. I hear a lot about more spending and less taxes for the rich. Go figure.

Keep jobs for those that are actually already doing the work and eliminate the slackers. Believe me, we had plenty in the government contracted company where I worked. I have seen it first-hand. We had one guy who used to walk around with a paint bucket in his hand all day. Took time out for breaks and lunch. First in line to clock out. Never, ever saw him applying paint to anything! One of our clerks would go through the in basket and take all the easy tasks for herself, leaving the harder jobs for the rest of us. If an emergency job came in, before the supervisor could get it assigned, she magically was in the restroom, hand-delivering finished work, etc. I could go on and on, but you should get the picture by now.

Some like Boeing think that just because it is for the government, that it is an open checkbook. Trump is trying to monitor those checkbooks and rein in the unchecked spending. Why is that a problem?
I worked for the Feds for over 30 years, your examples are not the norm.

Since you say you were a govt contractor or worked for them I can tell you first hand that the government contractors come to work for the fed agency, get trained by the gov workers, then get paid on most cases 2X or 3X the amount for doing the same job, then after a couple years when the contract expires the contractor hikes his prices, is undercut, and the process is repeated. This happened over and over and over, especially in the IT field.

You are confusing what I wrote. There is a difference between payroll taxes you mention and federal income tax I was speaking to. They are very different. I still say too many voters do not have any skin in the game and could care less about reducing government spending. My guess is an earned income check is more than most of these people pay in social security and medicare combined.

I didn't "confuse" anything.

I purposely eviscerated your argument.

Of course you only wanted to talk about personal income tax, because it blows the prejudiced, bigoted, narrow-minded and outright wrong narrative...if you include ALL taxes.

Sorry to ruin your day.
