Default Do these rules make sense in today's cheat'em environment???

The new rules for registering to vote in OHIO...no ID required...fill out the form and vote before the application is validated. How far will we go to either lower the bar of throw an election??
Just view the clip.....I am surprised it is being presented by CNN!!!!!

If it doesn't take you to the site try copy/paste to browser window.

I am afraid that the RUSH TO REGISTER that has occurred over the last few months with no thought except numbers may clog up this election as folks are challenged. A poster on here once said that in order not to elect someone like Gov Palin we should have only intelligent folks vote ..imagine how few of us could vote and all the challanges !!!

Default So easy to vote more than once!!!

There is absolutely no way to stop the creative folks who want to vote more than once....with fake ID/drivers license/etc.....no problem.
As the clip even said, it is unlikely they will get all the validations done. What does that imply?
Other States like FL go to great lengths to assure one person one vote...others like OHIO go the opposite way.
Another American standard watered down....for who?

This is amazing. As always when someone begins a thread on here it allows me to learn something. The link below is a transcript of the Lou Dobbs show. If you are not outraged, Democrat or Republican please post and let us know why !

The Democratic Secy of State simply ordained....no law enacted..no discussion....that you can be brought to register and also vote at the same time. Imagine how that might work....and to BTK...thank you so much for starting this thread. How could any american find this acceptable no matter the party and if this is happening in other states by Republican administrations, post that information because this is just totally wrong. What is going on ?

But of course this has been going on since elections began so that makes it ok. Man, what a screwed up mess.
Screwed up mess is right ! Folks on this board do not seem as dismayed by this attack on one of our very basic and cherished rights as they are with mundane things whether it be whether Sen Obama wears a pin or Gov Palin takes her child with her.

I wish I found it even remotely surprising but I don't. Florida pulled its stunts to elect Bush. Guess Ohio thinks turn about is fair play.

I'm a huge fan of JFK (flaws and all and, yes, I know he wasn't the greatest prez but I still like him). The reality is he won because of Texas and some creative voting by LBJ's machine -- a few cemetaries really did have constiuents, it seemed.

No matter who is doing it, it is wrong. Period. I hate that anyone would take something as sacred as the right to vote and turn it into something as obscene as win at any cost.

I'm praying Ohio's tactic will be stopped dead in its tracks (c'mon courts, do your stuff!). Even more, I'm praying other states don't follow this lead. What a mess the aftermath would be regardless of who wins.

Wow! Where was Lou in 2000? Isn't that when old Jeb's state, our state of Florida gave Bush the election? Does the name Katherine Harris ring a bell?

It's a two way street.

That being said, I think any voter fraud is despicable.

I sure dont want to rehash 2004 or 2000 but in the interest of making sure you and Redwitch get things in context...

Not sure if either of you were here then...I was.....and it was not pretty but not what you or the rest of the nation thought.

You might want to read the link below...

And so glad you added that you were against voter fraud after you added the zinger on Florida.....good work !!!
